  • How do I do a core exchange?
    Everyone can do a core exchange, however.. YOU MUST let us know upon time of invoice to add it to your order. There are different rules and guidelines to follow also, please refer to our Store Policies under "Core/Returns. As for preparing your block for return shipping for us to inspect, we ask for all cores to be returned to us in the manner of how our engine was sent out. ALL of our long blocks, short blocks and heads come as bare rebuilt with timing if you add it to your order. As for anything else such as accessories we do not install. *NOTE there are crucial oil and water plugs we remove during each machine and clean process in order to thoroughly clean out the entire crank case oil galley system and cooling passages, please ask for pictures on which ones to remove from your block. You can use the listings on here for examples or ask us for more pictures. (This policy applies to local pick up and exchange also) *Note we are not responsioble for any left over parts the customer left on his core or forgotten parts from our end.
  • Do you offer a warranty?
    Unfortunately, due to the nature of these high-performance engines, we do not offer a warranty, much like most high-performance shops. However, we do offer a guarantee: the guarantee your engine was done right from the beginning. We are known for working with our customers to help with any issue they might have.
  • When will I get my shipment?
    We aim to ensure that you receive your order as quickly as possible. Once your order is successfully shipped, we can provide a tracking number for your convenience. Shipping times can vary depending on your location.
  • What level of quality can I expect?
    We only use parts that will live up to our standard and our 40+ year reputation. You can rest assured that your engine will be strong and dependable.
  • Why are your prices so low?
    We do everything in-house, keeping the entire building process and overhead down to a cost-bearing minimum. We pass down the savings while giving you a quality race engine at a discounted price, giving our competitors a run for their money!
  • My package arrived damaged. What should I do?
    We strive to make sure your package is safe and secure. We use sturdy packaging and certified, heavy-duty Uline boxes. However, rarely, damage might occur. Not to worry! If your package has been damaged, we will open up a claim and move it as fast as possible. This will take customer involvement, including sending plenty of pictures, writing a description of what happened, and shipping the damaged goods back to us for processing. We will get a replacement back to you as soon as possible.
  • What happens if I didn't have a Subaru technician install my engine?
    Unfortunately, this is a breach of contract. However, if you are running into problems, we can still work with you under certain circumstances. Email us to see what we can do! *We cannot work with anyone who has tampered with our engine internally or externally beyoned what we built, as it is known there are shops who try to manipulate workmanship in order to lock in the client to thier pricing after they fully take it apart in an effort to trap the client into to paying more. We work with all our customers as fair as possible even in this High Performance Field, so send us a email and we will do our best to assist with any questions you might have about the engine.
  • How are your engines built?
    Our engines go through a multi-point inspection and are cleaned throughout the entire process, before being built by our engineers.
  • Who is building my engine?
    Only certified engineers build in our shop.
  • What type of engine casting am I getting?
    Some come new, while others are used. It depends on your order. If your casting is used, you can be sure that it has been thoroughly inspected and approved by our quality control department.
  • Do you use new or used parts?
    All parts are new, unless otherwise specified on your invoice.
  • Where do you get your engines?
    We get them from California state license-approved Subaru dealerships ONLY!
  • Why do your prices vary between your website and your social media posts?
    We occasionally have specials, and we use our social media to run them. Follow us on Instagram to stay up to date with our limited-time specials!
  • Have you ever been established in Arizona?
    NO! Unfortunately, some business can have similar names across the world. We have always been in Southern California.
  • Can I get my money back?
    Unfortunately, there is no money refunded back. In order to provide our customers with the fastest, most reliable engines, your order is immediately processed. Because of this reason "All Sales Are Final". However, we understand that emergencies happen. If this is your case, we need documented proof of your emergency. Our team will take it under careful consideration and determine if the request is favorable to the customer's emergency refund. If a refund is granted, it will be based upon money's payable to GCH AFTER the initial deposit. All initial deposits are automatically non-refundable.
  • What if, for whatever reason, I have to ship back my engine?"
    As our return policies mention, the customer is responsible for shipping the product back safely.
